We are having serious issues with the text editor. I type in a line of text.. no problem
I want to make a link bold so I add that text, make it bold and link it.
I wish to continue my sentence.. everything added stays linked and bold
Drop down a line so I can backspace to the link. Same problem
Selecting to turn off bold entire article goes bold.
Highlight all and select unbold nothing.

Gave up writing new articles... Better for my nerves and health.
Please fix so I can restore my sanity.
Hey there,

You have posted this in the "General" category and I have no idea which extension are you referring to. Can you please provide us with the steps to reproduce this?

Sorry Mark.. Forgot to click that. Easyblog.

Simple.. Create a post. Start typing. Somewhere in the sentence create a link. Make it BOLD. Try to turn off bold or get the following text to not be part of the link. Sometime you can hit ENTER 3 or 4 times then it will type as unlinked text and not bold. Sometimes not. Once you do that you have to then go back up to the previous text and delete until the other text moves where you want it. Kind of a buzz kill when you are on a roll with a thought and the editor stops cooperating. You completely lose what was in your mind while you try to sort the editor problems.

Don't tell me the solution is to do the article in a word processor and then cut and paste. Time consuming and formatting nightmare.

I have just tried this on your site and it works perfectly fine. Take a look at my video here, http://screencast.com/t/InHUURmc7zod . Do take note that you need to select the exact text that was bolded.

Having said that, I would advise you to switch to the WYSIWYG editor instead of the composer. The whole idea of the composer is great but unfortunately browser's are not going to be ready for such editors.

We will be slowly moving parts of the composer into basic editors for 5.1 until browsers get their acts right.

But we love the composer... Even with it's quirks.

Heh, these are the quirky-ness which we have been struggling with and it's solely because of these browsers In fact, if you use Firebug with Firefox, it'll slow down the browser too
