Thanks for head up, will log this into our issues tracker.

I also found this Slide function of the settings bar very annoying while creating a post with some blocks.
I believe that Push will work better same as on current EB.
It behaves the same on built in composer and not only on JCE.
I was able to reproduce this in your demo site aswell.

I'm not sure what issues about the slide function, can you share with us a screenshot or screencasts about the issues?

Please take a look at the screenshot on the first post on this thread.
The sidebar (settings) on the editor on toggle uses slide effect and covers the blocks of the editor

The issues were fixed on the next release, thanks.
