I'm going through my users that are already Registered to the site and modifying their permalink so it is already done and their User ID isn't showing in the URL. However I can't save their profile because the rest of the "Required" information isn't there yet. I know I can get around this by making nothing required in the registration right now but Administrators should be able to bypass that on the backend.
Well then make username required no matter what, and allow admin to bypass required fields Right now, I have to go into my MySQL database just to change the value in a field. If I try to edit the user field in the backend, it makes me reupload a profile photo and type in a password before I can save the profile changes.

Thanks for the heads up on this Adam Noted, perhaps the password and the avatar field shouldn't be required when editing.

Yes. Precisely. I suppose it would do the same thing with the cover photo as well. So the three things that shouldn't be required when editing in the backend are password, avatar, and cover photo

Hi all,

Password field is currently not required when editing a user. This is the current behaviour.

Will patch the avatar field and cover field in the upcoming releases.
