Editing Unpublished Blog Entries on Front End

I'm able to edit blog posts on the front end of my site but when a blog entry is unpublished, I can edit it but unable to save my edits. This issue only seems to be present with unpublished entries. I have no problem saving edits of published entries. Thanks!

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

I've tried to follow the steps that you provided in my local instance but it seems like I can edit and save the unpublished blog post from front end. Perhaps you can provide us with your joomla backend and FTP access so we can check on the issue directly?

Please advise.
