If I edit a query from the frontpage and want to save it, I will print the message "Please choose the category for your question"
Please tell me where the error may be.

This is because the page is currently a quick questions module and there is a "select category" as the default.

Is it going to be easy to get around?

Sorry but I am actually a little lost here. What do you mean by "edit a query" from the frontpage?

I think edit the post from the side of the site, not from the administration.

It seems like that js validate detected on your quick post module which didn't select any category yet, try download my attached file and replace into this following file location and see how it goes.

JoomlaFolder/components/com_easydiscuss/themes/wireframe/ask/default.js

By the way, i will log this issue into our issue tracker as well.
