Can we list discussions from specifique post type for example like we can do with Tags ?

Do you mean that you want to filter the discussion listing with specific post type such as post with tags only?

Just want to know more about post types and its uses, can you tell me whats the difference between post types, category and tags ?
and if we can filter discussions based on post types.

A very good example would be used for support forums. A post type could be a feature request, issue or general post type. Categories on the other hand is a categorization of where the posts should end up too.

Likewise, for tags, it's purpose is similar to categories but more refined

Example:

Post types: Inquiry, Sales

Category: Cars, Bus

Tags: BMW, Mercedes

i can see that we can filter topics based on cats and tags which is awesome, what about Post types ?

the only place where i can see the post type is the Discussion forum view or the topic it self, can we filter or show topics based on a type ?

Post types are not meant to be filtered. It's currently just used for display only
