Hi guys,

Wondering if would be possible to integrate my SocialConnect login module into the ED user login which appears to non logged in users at the bottom of the page as I prefer my users to log in with social networks rather than email.

Optionally, if integration of SocialConnect is not possible will there be an option in future to disable the ED user login at the bottom e.g make it a stand alone module rather than hard coded into ED?

Images attached.

Thank you.
Hi there,

Unfortunately it is not possible to render social connect login button inside easydiscuss login form currently.

Optionally, if integration of SocialConnect is not possible will there be an option in future to disable the ED user login at the bottom e.g make it a stand alone module rather than hard coded into ED?

We will consider this in the future. Thanks for the suggestion.

Hi there,

I'm sorry for the delay of this reply. Unfortunately, there is no setting to integrate with SocialConnect currently. However you can hide the EasyDisccuss login form on the bottom of the page. Can you download the attachment and replace it in the folder:
JOOMLA_ROOT_FOLDER/components/com_easydiscuss/themes/wireframe/forms/reply.login.php
and see how it goes?

Thank you Ezrul and Muhammad I will try your solution.

Question - Will I need to replace the replylogin.php file after future ED updates?

Question - Would the JFB connect component accomplish what I am looking for? I see you have build in some integration for this.

Thanks,
John

Hi there,

Yes you need to manually replace the attached file that my colleague gave after each ED updates on your site.

Would the JFB connect component accomplish what I am looking for? I see you have build in some integration for this.

Yes it does. When you integrated easydiscuss with JFBConnect, it will display a nice login social button at each of easydiscuss login form. Refer my screenshot here, http://take.ms/zwdAN .

Yes that's exactly what I'm looking for. Unfortunately I just recently renewed my subscription to socialconnect!

Thanks for your help though.
