Hello Mariano,

Sorry for late reply to this, thanks for help us found out those error.
Actually i have mention that we're not encourage you to install the beta version of Easydiscuss in your Live site, because the beta version still not work properly yet, you should test in your local Joomla.
I already help you re-install back that previous version for you, hope you understand.

Best Regards
Arlex

Your decisions are accurate .
My project has 8 days late, though I am still within the dates set by the client.

EB is a really great and works like I need .
ED I have not had a chance to test if it suits the needs of my project. Apparently , one would lack the possibility that a user could only edit and view their own questions. It is possible that a user can only see the questions you do?

The system I need is simple ( Tickets ) :

A user performs a question. You can only view ( and edit ) the questions you do and can view expert answers your questions.

I think if you can do, but I have not gotten to work properly ED .

Moreover, because of my mobility at work, I can not continually move a laptop and work on the client PC , so that only I have access to Local Joomla when I get home at night.

Thank you very much , you're doing a great job. I am really pleased with their effort and understanding.

If you need to make changes in versions of EB or ED , it has more to tell me or do , I gave him super admin permissions and valid FTP accounts .

Hello Mariano,

I'm sorry that always delayed response and solution for you,
For your simple task : Do you mean that you would like to set the "Registered" user can create a new question BUT can't let them reply right ? If right, you can set it from your backend > easydiscuss > setting > ACL > select "Registered" > Add new reply "NO"
Please let us know if you need further assistance.

I'm sorry that always delayed response and solution for you,

The delay is mine and controlled. And the time difference is inevitable.

For your simple task :.....

Sorry for my english...
User 1 : Makes 2 questions and can only see her 2 questions
User 2: Makes 1 questions and can only see her 1 questions
.....
User 73: Makes 1 questions and can only see her 1 questions
...
User 1240: Makes 4 questions and can only see her 4 questions
(Not possible with permission by categories and would need a category for registered user )

Expert 1: You can only view questions of its category assigned and can respond (This is eassy, permissions by category and ACL Group)
Expert 2: You can only view questions of its category assigned and can respond (This is eassy, permissions by category and ACL Group)
...
Expert 28: You can only view questions of its category assigned and can respond (This is eassy, permissions by category and ACL Group)

SuperUser 1: Moderate and assing questions to category expert
SuperUser 2: Moderate and assing questions to category expert

Hello Mariano,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Yes, you only can set it from category permissions and ACL group. For above your mentioned about that requirement, actually it not possible in currently now, but you need to create one by one different category under to your different user, so you need to set it one by one example : See the screenshot http://screencast.com/t/JcRfrXUUW
>> Select your Categories > Click Permission tab > Click Browse User - Add to List TO User 1
- "Who can select this category when creating discussion"
- "Who can view discussion in this category" (Mean only this User 1 can select and view this categories, you can set Superuser in the group for moderator)
Is it okay for my suggestion on this?

yes, it is correct but it is not feasible: imagine 2000 users per year, 2000 categories by year ....

I would be very to have integrated EB and ED, but I think it's what I need right now. When available ED stable, do a few more tests and decide.

thanks

Hello Mariano,

I'm agree that your example actually is absolutely right, unfortunately we do not have this setting in the currently version even the beta version yet.
Yes, the EasyBlog already have this integrate feature with the Easydiscuss, you can test it now.

It would be possible to add the instruction that a specific group of users (eg registered) can only see their own questions??

Hello Mariano,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Unfortunately it is not possible to do this, because all the user is under registered group, so when you setting up registered group and superuser group to the category permission "Who can view this discussion in this category" ( http://screencast.com/t/TCGi3wCfam ), that mean all the register user and superuser also can view other user discussion. Hope you understand.

Yes I understand.

This is the main reason that ED is not useful to me, even though it is a huge component. The privacy for my users is essential.

What I have to do to get my money back by the ED component?

I really like the ED component and if any updates incorporate the issue of privacy, I will not hesitate to buy it but now it is not useful for my project.

Thanks anyway.

Hopefully this kind of thing can make it into a future version, and yes I can see it would then attract a wider audience. For me it would remove the need for a separate ticket / contact us system on my site if there was that option to designate a certain category where the posts added were only seen by the logged in person who submitted them and super admin (plus perhaps anyone else those parties chose to allow to read that particular thread).
