We upgraded one of our websites to Easyblog 5.0.7 from 3.9.22295. Albeit the process was by far seamless, we managed to find most of what we needed to make the modifications we wanted.

Here are some questions and issues.

1. Why do Blog Posts now create Joomla Articles? What's the reasoning in this? It never did before and I can see this being a huge problem for bigger blog site to manage. Also the article don't delete even if we delete the blog post. I can't find anywhere this is documented or explained.

2. We have changed the "Related Post" number from 5 to 3 but (On each category) but it doesn't actually update on the posts. They still all have 5. Is there a current bug with this?

Thanks
Hello CK,

Thanks for the helps.

Scott,

I'd really like to know the reasoning for this, why someone may want this feature?

This is actually a bug in our end where the installer will automatically publish this plugins during the installation. We will fix this issue in the next release of easyblog.

Seems like there is a bug with the category settings. Kindly download the attachment below and place it inside your /components/com_easyblog/views/entry/ folder and see how it goes.

  1. Under plugins (Extensions -> Plugin Manager) search for EasyBlog - Auto Article and disable it, or change the Default Article Status to unpublished.
  2. Try refreshing your cache

Patch worked perfectly! Related post now only show 3 thanks!

Thank you also for confirming the auto-publishing issue with the Auto-Articles. It was a real head scratcher for us as to why something like that was enabled by default.

By the way, love the Launcher, works like a charm!
