I use AT on every site and EB on many and this is the first time I've encountered this issue. This is part of the reply from the Akeeba support team:

"I can tell that EasyBlog is trying to write something to the users table. I'm not familiar with EasyBlog, so I don't know what it's trying to write. It is possible that the other installations are configured differently and do not try to write to the users table. That would explain why only this one has the problem."

I suspect the write to the users table happens when a new post (and probably an edit as well) is done and EB writes to the users table to show the post belongs to that specific author/user. Is this a correct assumption?
Hi Ian,

I'm not really understanding the issue you are experiencing with Akeeba and EasyBlog. Can you elaborate further?

Perhaps we can try to reproduce it to get a better understanding on how the process works.

Backend Edit Admin User & Frontend Edit Admin User are the blocking reasons I'm getting. I really don't understand the workings of Admin Tools so can't say anything more than the Akeeba tech said.

Interestingly, I use the 2 in combo on other sites without any issues.

Hey Ian,

Can you edit the first post and include the backend and ftp access info to the site experiencing this in the 'site details' section so I can test this out?

Do you mean that if I try to edit the admin user at Joomla's users listing and save, my ip will be blocked from accessing the site?

I believe there is a setting in admin tools that prevents editing users. Perhaps you can provide us a copy of the pro version installer so I can take a closer look?
