I am having issues creating categories with the correct permissions for viewing and editing/submissions.

I am assigning users to usergroups for example

User1 assigned to Usergroup1
User2 assigned to Usergroup2

I am then creating categories and editing the category permissions to General > Pivacy > Assigned Joomla User Group

Assigned permissions > View the blog posts > I leave all Selected
Select category during blog creation / edit > I select only the Usergroup that can edit the category

This works well for creation those members of a group can only see the categories they have access to.

But a problem exists when a user that only can add to a certain category now views a blog post for different user they are able to edit this post which they should not be able to do. What am I missing.

FoOr example category Mr. Z's Bobcat Update has

Assigned permissions > View the blog posts > All Selected
Select category during blog creation / edit > SuperUsers are selected only

But any logged in User can view this blog post and edit from the frontend
Hey Ryan,

I am sorry that delay of this reply,

You don't have permission to access /administrator on this server.

I am adding more users and continue seeing this issue where when adding a blog entry using the composer it works as intended but if a logged browses to an article from a different user that they should not have access to according to the category permissions they get the edit button and can edit the entry.

I just removed the Block so you should be able to access the site. I have included additional details in the site details section. Thanks for the help. The initial issue seems to be resolved but now others are showing up. When I created Categories I added only the user group that needed to access them, I did not include superusers. I do need super users to access all categories. Do I need to go back and Add Super Users to each category.. if so is there a fast way to do this? Also real quick... Can I remove the number of Posts in a category.

Hey Ryan,

I am sorry that delay of this reply,

I have checked in my locally, unfortunately that was no quickly way to add `Superuser` access in all the categories.
So you have to edit each category to add back the `Superuser` access.

Regarding with your second question :
Can you take a look of my screenshot here : http://screencast.com/t/eDXfWoa2
Are you referring this post count?

By the way, I noticed your site missing some language translation, can you download the latest launcher installer from http://stackideas.com/dashboard then upload through in your Joomla installer, it should update all the language.
