Hello,

Which menu item do I need to create in order to be able to configure what a post page will look like and what a users blog page will look like?

Thanks in advance
I think I have figured the user blog part out for now but I can not find the menu item to be able to control the post (entry)

The issue I am facing is that without this menu item, I cannot control what modules show on this view

Are you referring you would like to configure one of the menu item to display blog entry page?

If yes, you can select this menu type "Easyblog - (Posts) Single Post" and select which blog post you would like to display on this menu type.

Hi,

That will work, but it will only work for that one specific post. I need to be able to create a generic page for all posts so that I can configure the layout and not have it show all of the module from the frontpage layout.

I was able to do this for authors list, category list, blog view etc but there is no way to do it for entry. without this I am unable to fix my UX.

You can think of this in the same way as joomla handles articles. If you do not create an page for an article category, articles load on the same page where you click the link until you create a specific page for that content to be displayed on. From there you can add modules to that page and lay it out however you want.

Thanks

The only way I can think of is create hidden menu item for each single category menu item layout, so you can able assign which module should appear on blog entry page based on these single category menu item, for example :

Category A - single category menu item
> blog entry alias - site.com/categoryMenuAliasA/blogAlias

Category B - single category menu item
> blog entry alias - site.com/categoryMenuAliasB/blogAlias

Category C - single category menu item
> blog entry alias - site.com/categoryMenuAliasC/blogAlias

Hope this will help.

Awesome! That's the same way it's done for joomla articles.

So what is the exact name of the menu item that I need to create?

Thanks again for amazing support!

You're welcome.

You can use this menu type -> Easyblog - (Categories) Single Category , then set specific category inside the menu.
