Hi,

The EB Composer does not load locations / maps even though the Google API key is set (properly) both within EB and Google console?

Best regards,
Imran
The super admin account which you have provided is blocked again, http://take.ms/FRhKq

Can you also please provide us with your Google access so that we can verify your API keys?

HI there,

it seems that currently, you are using 'Referrer' for your API key and currently, those API can't be used if you have set referrer for them. Currently, i would advice you not to use 'Referrer' for you Google API key and give it a try again and see how it goes

If still persist, can you provide us with your Google access credentials or give admin permission to this email, warith@stackideas.com for further check on this issues

Please advice.

Hi,

Its working now but its vulnerable to map data quota hacks? The referrer restricts for that to happen, isn't it?

Regards,
Imran

Hi there,

We are aware of this issue and we have already planning to add support for maps referrer restriction for both server and browser api. However in order to achieve that it require a lot of tweaking work for the current maps as there are a lot of API's type that can only work for browser restriction or server restriction and currently EasyBlog using almost all of the API's that are provided by the Google to ensure the maps is working correctly across EasyBlog.

For example, google static maps and embed maps require browser type restriction while geolocation api (autocomplete suggestion of location in composer) require server type restriction. Hence it require two different API's key (browser and server) just for that purpose.

Thanks for your understanding
