hi SI team

Just want to say thanks for the great theme. I am nearly there and just need to tweak some stuff, I am having problems getting the formatting for Blog posts list to match up with individual posts!

The main issue is the text alignment
Also some of the preview pictures are cropped (Still previews)

in the following places.

Looks like screenshot:03BlogMAINpage.jpg

Should look like this
Looks like screenshot:03BlogMainpageFORMAT.jpg

Ditto Blog Page View (Individual post)
Looks like screenshot:04SingleArticleZoomed.jpg

Should look like this

Can you guy help me to get get this to work once again?
i.e. text and images aligned?

thanks

Paul
Hello Paul,

Sorry, just checked with the developers from Wanderers and apparently, you should use the "default" theme in EasyBlog in combination of the overriden theme as that is actually the best combination as we do not override the css files for EasyBlog in Wanderers

Hello Paul,

Wanderers actually includes it's own template override for EasyBlog. If you want to use the built in styling of EasyBlog, all you need to do is to rename the folder /templates/wanderers/html/com_easyblog/ to something else

Hi Mark

I would be very happy to try the Wanderers override template. But am of now unclear if I am doing so or not!

I did not change the name of "/templates/wanderers/html/com_easyblog/" folder…

So I guess that I technically should be using Wanderers override for EasyBlog

However when I go to the Themes section in EB I change change the theme type. Despite not having changed the folder name above! I now have the Theme switched to “Plain” but still do not understand why I can switch at all as I thought this was being over written!!?!?!
Please advise

thanks

Paul

Hello Paul,

Template override always has higher precedence in all our extensions. In fact, it's the default behavior in Joomla too. The only way for EasyBlog to use it's own themes, you need to rename the folder that I mentioned above

Hi Mark

I never renamed any of this:

/templates/wanderers/html/com_easyblog/

And yet I can change and select EB templates as i like in the back end!

Is it possible that this over ride is not working?

best

Hello Paul,

I can't really tell if access is not provided to us. Please provide us with the back end and FTP access to check.

Hi Mark

No worries. Thanks for helping me clear that up. Good to know about the "default" theme! I have a number of minor formatting issues so will post again. I think when every thing is said and done it is going to look amazing. Am very curious to see what EB 5 has in store.

best
