I have set up a new site with the latest EasyBlog and I am attempting to setup the autopost feature. I have created the app and as I try to sign into Facebook via the EasyBlog backend button it opens a pop-up window that has the EasyBlog Dashboard screen instead of the Facebook login. Any ideas? I have attached a photo and will provide access details after I get the FTP access all setup. If there is something simple that I have forgot to do, then please share. I need to get passed this step so that Autoposting can take place.

Thanks you Izzan:
I have added the site details below. It turns out that the same issue happens with the log into Twitter as well. I tried to reinstall EasyBlog, but it made no difference. Please let me know what you find out.

Hello Michael,

I am sorry for the delayed reply.

Can you provide us with your Facebook access and Twitter access as well so that we can inspect your Facebook apps and Twitter apps. I suspected that maybe there are misconfiguration at the apps.

Please advise.

I am having the same issue. Is there anyway for you to give us a step-by-step check instead of giving you access into our backend?

It looks like there is now success with the sign in links for autoposting, but for some reason there is no way to set up Facebook posting to "Pages" or "Groups". I included a picture showing the screenshot that there is no input box next to the question marks. Can you investigate further?
I will continue checking out the Twitter and the LinkedIn.

TWITTER - I cannot generate successfully request the Twitter token. I even reset the consumer key and tried and ended up with the same error. I attached a screen shot. Can you investigate?
Now I will try LinkedIn.

Facebook - Strike One
Twitter - Strike Two
LinkedIn - Strike Three
That's right, LinkedIn Failed as well.
Please access my backend with the info provided in the earlier post and see if you can get all three autoposting apps to work. I will also submit a formal ticket.

STRIKE FOUR - Your "Submit A Ticket" system refuses to acknowledge my user name and password. I even tried resetting the password and the system still rejects my attempts to log in. I will share my login in credentials below. I look forward to your help. I just wish that we were on the same side of the earth so that we could work together instead of you trying to work on this while I was getting sleep. I want to get this resolved and now it looks like I have to wait yet another work day.

I was able to submit a ticket.... NOTE: When I log into your KAYAKO system it does not confirm that you are logged in.In fact, when I log in it tells me that there was an invalid user name or password, yet it let me fill out a ticket and submit... That was a strange experience. I thought I was wasting my time and yet it confirmed that my ticket was submitted.

Hi Izzan,

This appears to have made everything work, except the Facebook page integration as Michael said. The other issue is that from the LinkedIn page, I cannot see the list of companies to select the right one.

Thanks for your efforts. I am glad we could sync times we both are working. It is almost 11PM and I have about 3 more hours of work tonight. You are correct in your assessment. I use my personal LinkedIn account as my business page. I may add one at a later date. Thanks again for helping me get it all to work.

Hey Scott,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Can you please provide us with the FTP access to the site please? It looks like your server is throwing this error after Facebook redirects the successful authentication, http://screencast.com/t/eKd8mxptlO

By the way, in the future, can you kindly please start a new thread in the future rather than posting to the same post? It would be much easier for us to keep track of your issues

Hi ScottSenffner,

Sorry for late reply to this,

Yes, you provided that FTP access is not work for me

Error: Authentication failed.
Error: Critical error
Error: Could not connect to server

Can you try download this file and replace in JoomlaFolder\administrator\components\com_easyblog\includes\oauth\adapters\facebook\client.php and see how it goes?

If still hitting the same error, perhaps you try create another FTP account for us so we can try access again and see is it work.

do we have to have a Facebook login credentials instead of Joomla credentials so the Facebook developers can approve the app? I think I need it approved first. the file you send worked better, I was able to get farther; however, I think I need the app approved first correct?

Hey ScottSenffner,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply, if you are not allow your site bloggers autopost to their Facebook profile page, you no need submit for Facebook developer review. In other words, once you created an app from Facebook and authenticated with your Facebook account in Easyblog autoposting configuration page, it should work autopost to your Facebook page.

May i know after you replaced the attached file in your server, is it still hitting the same error?

If yes, perhaps you can create another FTP account so we can connect on your FTP server and troubleshoot on this?

Hey Scott,

After testing this very thoroughly, it looks like your hosting's end is blocking the request. Hence, you are getting the error, http://screencast.com/t/6vEw5AQu0 . The entire process worked fine but as soon as Facebook redirects the url back to your site, your hosting's end is throwing this error.

I believe this is most likely caused by mod_security on your hosting's end. I even tried to add some debug codes in Joomla's index.php file and it didn't go through either. This was the url that Facebook was returning to,

http://yoursite.com/administrator/index.php?option=com_easyblog&task=facebook.grant&system=1&code=AQBT3WfhZts5G0Cca_TmzOb0ckofZTXhgFGuFH2vilamb-Lz-XbKfQsUshmEi76pMAWVTke8wp5EWCrnrmlfdFK0794mviEPeV5aceknnBcJHSIcT18m_vj9WbCKxB3F4NOIeVzFCmIvcBEaFc5LvJjfyMAD95Ugzl5cDm6nGHB3XtlgUA3iwAP6A4sDWJ64L7Dfbxt0r4TGUc9kHH8PFNW9SGtab1jt-Tc1A1N9_Hax8OI67deINJbYsKkgCE-MioGDtJPsA7zoRkGEdoAlKLX7_iBfcoMTYPXzoPsnxcGEFF2ugdJRjO72Y6gwvLwz7yY_R8PcE57a3V0wO_bY8TyT&state=aHR0cDovL3d3dy5hbWVyaWNhbmRlc2lnbnRlYW0uY29tL2FkbWluaXN0cmF0b3IvaW5kZXgucGhwP29wdGlvbj1jb21fZWFzeWJsb2c%3D#_=_

You can replace yoursite.com with your domain and request your hosting provider to look into this.
