Hello,

I am trying to disable the feature where easy blog articles are automatically emailed to every user even if they havent subscribed to a blog, author, category or site wide subscription themselves. I thought I did this correctly but every user is still receiving emails when a blog post is created.

I need to stop this from happening but I also still want to allow users to subscribe site wide if they choose to.

Thanks
Hi Fidel,

Based on what I checked in one of your post(Around the League v2), it appears that you have utilized the custom notifications to send to the 'Registered' user group(http://take.ms/SruyW).

This will actually ignore the notification settings and send the email notifications to all users under this user group. Perhaps in your next blog post, don't select any user group under custom notifications then check and see if all 'registered' users are still getting the notifications.

Is there a way to prevent users in certain joomla groups from having this option when they publish an entry or to just turn it off or to default to none?

Hey Fidel,

You can specify which usergroup can use this feature at EasyBlog's ACL section: http://take.ms/aAzS5

By default none of the usergroups are selected.
