You can configure them to follow Joomla default list limits, Easyblog list limit or it current menu list limits(if you created a menu items for all categories items) as listed below.

Joomla -> http://take.ms/KQLCf (all area on your site affected)
Easyblog -> http://take.ms/5KbJR (all area on your site affected)
All categories menu item - > http://take.ms/o23wa (only this sections(All categories sections)

Please give it a try and see how it goes.

I already did and it will also limit the number of items (categories) shown in the Categories Layout which I don't intend to do. I only want to limit the number of posts displayed in each Category as in the screen shot.

The setting that you are pointing out is for general listing.

The number of posts that appears in each category section are inherited from Joomla's Global Configuration section.

Hi Mark,

If that's the case then the Categories Layout would have a long lists by default it is set to 20. So 20 Categories + 20 items per category. You guys already duplicated that setting for number of list when it can just use the Joomla default list setting, why not just add another one to have a better Categories Layout controlling the number of posts in each category. Just a suggestion.
