Hello Mark,

Referring to the earlier thread:

http://stackideas.com/forums/eb-5-0-16-blog-image-not-included-in-the-autopost-to-twitter

"I made some changes on the file /administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/oauth/adapters/twitter/twitter.php on line 315 and 321."

But I'm unable to find this file either from my backup or updated EB 5.0.17 folder?

The autoposts are again having the blank space at the beginning of the blog title to twitter?

Anyway, I replaced the "/administrator/components/com_easyblog/includes/twitter/twitter.php" file from backup which has resolved rest of the issues apart from the blank space issue.
Unfortunately, it must have lost any of the latest changes made available through the latest update EB 5.0.17?

Best regards,
Imran
Additional to above:

Here is the earlier screenshot of the autopost to the twitter.

The blank space issue needs only fixing plus inclusion of any latest changes in the EB 5.0.17.

Hi Imran,

I am sorry for the delayed reply.

It seems like you have mistakenly put a space here: http://screencast.com/t/7ruofTItteeC , however, I have helped you fix this and now it should be displaying perfectly: http://screencast.com/t/sk8RkCsqgvm .

About the view summary, I have been googling and found out that it is by nature Twitter do not expand this.
Currently we only expand pic.twitter and vine posts, mostly for safety and interest of others. Twitter

Hope this could helps and can you verify this issue is resolved?

Hello Yasser,

It was working when you fixed it but when I replaced the default text as set by you earlier:

{title}
Read more {link}

with:

{title}
{introtext}
{category}
Read more {link}

It no longer autoposted any tweet at all?

Kindly, check as to what went wrong?

Best regards,
Imran

You probably have too much text there since Twitter only allows 160 characters. I strongly advise you to change your tweet message because at the end, if you have too much information there, it won't fit in 160 characters as most of the text would need to be truncated.

Yes, that was the reason. I removed some text now its working again.

One more thing; the twitter autopost button also posts to the FaceBook?

Best regards,
Imran

It seems not so on my site as on the facebook page there are postings even though I only clicked on the twitter autopost button?

Imran

If this issue is not related to your original post, can you please start a new thread? Thanks for understanding.
