Hello,

I wanted to do the easyblog update, but I have a problem, I can not do it?
I say that I've done a lot of work on easyblog, I do not want to reinstall the component, just make it up to date.

Thank You.
Hello Christian,

Have you performed any tweaks on EasyBlog? If you did, what tweaks did you perform and which version are you from?

Hello Christian,

Upgrading to EasySocial 5.1 will not remove those items. It will only replace template files and if you have template overrides, you might need to get it updated.

Perhaps do you want us to upgrade it for you? If you want us to perform the upgrade for you, please make a backup of your site first for emergency purposes.

Hello Christian,

You can perform the upgrade if you want to. You would just need to:

1. Head on to https://stackideas.com/dashboard to download the installer

2. Go to Extensions Manager and upload the new installer.

Once you have uploaded the new installer, it will then proceed with the installation We have released a new installer because this is a new major release.

If you want us to perform the upgrade for you, you would need to edit your post and include the back end and FTP access.

Once you access your dashboard from our website, you can click on "download installer" button, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

How to modify the publication, to put it in private, to provide you my access codes?

You can provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site , and this section only site moderator can view it.

I have not succeeded in updating easyblog on my site.

The connection information is on dashboard.

I remind you that I :
I created a lot of categories, subcategories, keywords (tags), a list of banned words, etc ...

I do not want all the work I have done to be destroyed. Thank you.

It will not remove any data from your current Easyblog configuration and those existing blog post during the installation.

Perhaps you can backup your site and your database data before we perform an update Easyblog from your site?

By the way, can you update your Joomla backend page URL so I can access it and perform an Easyblog update on your site?

Hello Christian,

Thanks! That explains why we were unable to access the administration screen! I have upgraded EasyBlog for you to the latest version, 5.1.7 and the categories, settings and everything else remained in tact

No problem Christian. Upgrading should be pretty straight forward. You just need to follow the upgrade steps after the installation and you are good to go
