Good afternoon,

I'm trying to build a Geo + Directory for my Joomla 3 and I'm thinking of having Geommunity + EasySocial, but before that, I would like to know a few features of EasySocial, because I have other options like Jomsocial or Community Builder and I never used them.

I need to have a directory with some groups (like 10 different groups), each one with their info and each entry with his picture, description, etc (they are going to be stores) so I need to show also a list of products, address, and that's why I need the Geommunity component because I need to show ALL of them in a map. Each group is going to have a different icon.

Also I would like to know if every user is going to be able to "register" and also I have some options to import user to a "group" with a CSV file or something.

The users are going to be able to change their info? Can I provide some privileges?

I'm going to read more of EasySocial, but I would like to know if you can answer those questions because I need that to work as I expect. Can I see a demo of the back-end?

Thanks in advance.
Hi Jordi,

Thank you for your inquiry. I'm Justin, one of Stack Ideas's marketing guy.

Well, EasySocial is a social networking component where users are able to register, login and add friends, share statuses, photos, links and many more. Users can also create Groups and Events and share 'em with their friends.

I'm not sure what do you mean by having a directory with some groups, are you actually referring to users? Each registered users will have their own profile page where they can put a profile picture, cover photo, and fill in their details. The administrator have the option to create fields for their users and decide whether it's compulsory or not. For instance, a clinic might need the field 'Medical background' for their patient.

Each users can either register themselves (and access is given either immediately or by admin's approval) or you can import users via Joomla's user directory. EasySocial actually uses the Joomla's user database. By default, each users are able to edit their own profiles.

You can reach our backend demo of EasySocial here : http://easysocial.stackideas.com/administrator/

Hope these answers your question! Let me know if you have any other inquiries.

Jordi if you have the budget, I recommend looking at a EasySocial + jReviews + Quick2Cart combo, that way you can have groups, directories, stores. I am not sure if it would be exactly the way you envision it, but I recommend researching all three components. That is the combo I have gone for

One thing is for sure, I strongly recommend EasySocial as a base... and expand from there feature wise with third party components/addons.
