I was hoping someone might be able to direct me on how to add "WeChat" to the abundance of social sharing icons under the link "social sharing"?

Couldn't find anything in the forums; other than people asking about signing in using WeChat; which is not what we wish...

So hoping there is a way or add-on that can help, as our members are Chinese.

You cannot be adding javascript codes on the dialog as those are being served through XHR Requests (AJAX calls). You will need to only add html codes on that file.

Unfortunately this is beyond the scope of our support and we are unable to assist you with these changes.

Currently it is not possible to extend this but you can override the theme file in /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/sharing/dialog.php to customize the dialog.

Sounds like this might need someone above my pay-grade; as after reviewing that file, I am lost on where to add and/or change to include "WeChat"...

Is this something that is much deeper than changing a few lines of php?


You think there is a way to perhaps, register in the "Share This" site and then simply add or replace registered property id assigned to website in order to be able to adjust social platforms independently?

Other than somehow connecting "Share This" with what is already on EasySocial, all I can find is other ways; which is a bit much and hoping we don't have to go down that rabbit hole..
