Hello and good day,

I am not able to find how to hide the activity stream from Joomla! guests. I was able to hide the toolbar using the backend, but I cannot find any settings there to completely hide the stream from guests.

There is a screenshot attached (easySocialStream.png) pointing out the section I want to hide.

Reason for wanting to do this:
I would like to use the Dashboard menu item as my Joomla! default home page because this site is 100% EasySocial/EasyBlog/EasyDiscuss. This wouldn't be an issue for most, but this sites content needs to be private from all non-members. When a new user or a not logged in user arrives, I just want them to have the option to log in or leave the site.
I have the login module set at Guest access level, so it only appears when logged out. But the EasySocial activity stream still shows.

Have I completely missed this feature on the backend? (edit: it appears I have... by a long shot)

Thanks
Hello,

Have you try to use the Lockdown mode which you can find it in Backend>Easysocial>Settings>General: http://screencast.com/t/LDMlNlwac1G5 . This will hide the Easysocial system from public. http://screencast.com/t/XzPCEedcq0

Nik,

Thanks for the reply. So far your suggestion has achieved everything I was looking for.
How I overlooked such a setting is beyond me. I mean it is literally the first setting listed when clicking settings. I think the term "Lockdown Mode" must have looked to me like it would completely lock down ES and not allow any activity at all.
Oh well. One stupid way overthought question and one simple great answer later and now I'm in business.

Thanks again and sorry to waste your time.

Thanks for updating and glad that your issues are resolved now In EasySocial 1.4, we'll add more descriptive information about what each settings does to reduce confusions
