I have the same issue as the following post.
http://stackideas.com/forums/how-to-set-creation-publishing-time-to-my-time-zone

I noticed when I created a dummy event via a group. ( see attached )

My questions are

I have set "London" via Global Configration> server > Server time zone, which is not applied to easysocial event timezone. How can I fix it? If you can apply the fix directly to my site, does it mean that I need to request you again every time I upgrade the latest version of ES in the future?

I didn't see the same timezone field for event when I created it. Does it mean that timezone is set to London for this?

Are there any other places that timezone field appear in easysocial except group > event?

Many thanks

HS
Hey there,

The timezone that is set in your Joomla Global Configuration doesn't affect the timezone for the events because there are times when your site is based on the London timezone but your event could be hosted in America / Asia.

You can actually set the timezone for the event when you create / edit the event. Take a look at my screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/dGSmvNadAsCg

Hi

Thanks for the prompt response.

All my members are based in UK, so I don't really need this option..
Is it possible to select Europe/London as default and make this drop down undetectable or not show to users?

Thanks
