Hi SI Team,

Imagine a member has 3 or more user accounts [with individual login credentials & login via email id] in the EasySocial community. Is it possible for the member to "toggle" or "switch" user accounts without having to logout and login each time for each user? How can we accomplish this?

A similar example is Gmail where one can have multiple email accounts and Gmail app would allow switching between accounts without logout.

Need help with suggestions/ recommendations on how we accomplish this.

Thanks in advance for your help.
Juz.
Hello Juz,

I'm sorry but it is not possible with Easysocial.

Hi Nick,

My post was also to gather ideas on how we could accomplish this. So perhaps a brainstorm...and someone from the community may have a solution:)

Cheers!

On the support / site admin side, I've used this module without any problems to switch users on an ES site. Not exactly what you're looking for, but if you're a coder you could get some ideas for developing your own from this...

Thanks Eileen. Appreciate the tip. Will explore further. Hope it can [with tweaks] resolve our issue.

Hi Eileen,

Thanks for sharing this with us. Just wondering if the 'switching' is simple an automated process of logout the current user and login with another user? My concern is the session key on logged-in user. From what I understand, Joomla store a session key for each login from a user. Since you are switching users from a single session, I wonder how this module handle that

Thanks.

I followed-up with the owners of the module and they confirm:

As I check the code [] the session will be switched after you switched the user.
