Try download my attached file and replace into following file location and see how it goes?

JoomlaFolder\components\com_easysocial\sef_ext\videos.php
JoomlaFolder\components\com_easysocial\sef_ext\events.php

Note : After you replaced these file in your site, you have to purge all the SEF cached URL from Sh404sef, so that they will help you regenerate the correct SEF URL again.

Provided files are helped to remove double names in event and video but still have "item" in the link, is there any option in setting where I can hide or change "item" words.

I think we got another minor issue , when we go on video page and on the bottom there are other videos, if you click on video thumbnails its works well but if you click on title than its stay on the same page.

This already fixed in latest version of Easysocial 1.4.12.

But this 2 files at above is consider customization, so you have to always do a backup on this 2 files before update.

Regarding this new question, I would suggest you start a new thread and provide us with your following site details.

- Update to latest version of Easysocial and replace back to your customization file.
- Try get Google map API key from your account, you can refer on our similar documentation here : http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/configuration/how-to-get-google-maps-API-key
- Once you get the secret key, start a new thread and provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access
- Because that was known issue since we can't fix this in the current version, so have to manually to modify some of the file and do some compile from your site in order to make this work, but we already include a better fix in Easysocial 2.0 development version.

Hi Harry, we dont use any seo plugin for the moment, i think joomla seo is enought if you dont need specific features! Maybe Arlex can tell us what they think @SI if we need seo apps ?

What Jan said that is true because now latest version of Joomla SEO is quite better than older version.

But based on your beginning request is remove those duplicate alias and the `item` segment from the URL, this is actually quite hard to customise in the Easysocial router core file, but we can easier to modify our sh404sef plugin file to achieve this. This is the good thing you can customise the URL base on what you want through the SH404sef.

To be honestly, I do not have any suggestion for which SEO plugin is the best, I am sorry that couldn't help much you guys here.

By the way, how do I remove the group id in the group view widget links list of Categories?

In addition to my posting above, I tried to play around with the video.php and trying to add the video category to the url like:

videos/videocategory/video-name-alias

the default is:

videos/video-name-alias

I tried to do this:

// For videos, we need to get the beautiful title

   $videoAlias         = getVideoAlias($id);



   // get the video category alias

   $videoCategoryAlias = getVideoCategoryAlias($id);



   // Set the video alias

   $title[] = $videoCategoryAlias . '/' . $videoAlias;

But the resulting url does not show the correct category name where the video is. Check this out:
