Good Evening. i am using membership pro extension along with Easysocial. but i am having little concern with EasySocial profile type.
I created a plan on membership pro and assigned that plan to a joomla group i created named VIP and once a user subscribed to the plan, there joomla group switched automatically to the VIP group. Back to EasySocial profile type, i created a new profile type also and i linked this new profile to the joomla group "VIP" (the same joomla group with the plan). My thought was that, any user in this group will enjoy all the features of this profile type i created. But when user subscribed to the plan and there joomla group is switched to the VIP joomla group, they never get to see the features of the new profile type i created.. so i dont know what i am missing or doing wrong. if there is anything you can help me with this issue i will appreciate
Hi Taiwo,

To be honestly, I'm not really familiar with Membership PRO, as I go through the documentation provided by Membership PRO http://membershipprodoc.joomservices.com/synchronize-profile-data#easysocial it seems you need to map the field where seems like you do not yet setup it http://take.ms/uosns
Can you setup it and re-try?

OK thanks for your answer and time you took to visit membership pro. But for now, let's forget about membership pro, I do not have any problem with that. Now what I want to know is that, when creating a new profile type, on the setting page, there is a section that said to choose joomla user group, and I assigned a joomla group to the profile type. My expectation is that, any user in this joomla group must access all the features in the profile type assigned to this joomla group, but it is not happening at all. I changed a user joomla group to the group of my new profile but this user is unable to enjoy the features of this profile type when both the user and the profile is sharing the same joomla group. Let me know if there is something you don't understand. Thanks

Hi Taiwo,

Ah I see you mean now
when creating a new profile type, on the setting page, there is a section that said to choose joomla user group, and I assigned a joomla group to the profile type. My expectation is that, any user in this joomla group must access all the features in the profile type assigned to this joomla group, but it is not happening at all. I changed a user joomla group to the group of my new profile but this user is unable to enjoy the features of this profile type when both the user and the profile is sharing the same joomla group.

-> Actually, the changing of user's profile type is not that simple as that. Let me do some simple analogy here, if there is 3 profile type you've created (profile type #1 joomla group- registered) (profile type #2 joomla group-registered&admin) (profile type #3 joomla group-registered&admin). where profile #2 and #3 was assign with same joomla group, if you change the user where originally assign to profile type #1 and you change their joomla group by add admin , which one profile type that they should in now (either #2 or #3)? this option actually applied to newly registered user http://take.ms/yyVsU where when the user registering under this profile type, it will assign to that profile type with the joomla group assigned in the setting.
If you want to change the user profile type you actually can do it by: (users>select>switch profile) http://take.ms/Y733L http://take.ms/WJ6Dm
