Just noticed that if you have "repost' enabled on your site, it will allow members to repost anything into the public stream, even if the original poster has the privacy set to 'friends only'. This is a BIG legal risk for site owners. The repost function really needs to only be available if the original post is set to public.
Hello,

Thanks for reporting this issue back to us. I've fixed the issue internally and the fix will be added into next release of EasySocial. If the user cannot see the shared content, the user will see something like below

Hope this help and have a nice day

That will probably work on the site directly, but many sites are using things like AutoTweet NG (this is how the issue came to my attention).
I have completely disabled the repost feature at this point on my site.
Looking at FaceBook (the best place for comparison) they do not appear to honor share restrictions either. So it is probably not as important as my mind is making it.

Hello,

Thanks for the heads up on this one and yeah, for now, what you can do is to temporary disable the repost feature until the next release
Thanks again and have a nice day

Hey Sam, can you please push through the Facebook auto post when set to "private" issue as well. If I set a post to private/only me, it still posts to facebook.

I know Mark knew of it, just hope it gets added to the list.

Hi Ryan,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

Hey Sam, can you please push through the Facebook auto post when set to "private" issue as well. If I set a post to private/only me, it still posts to facebook.

Regarding the above, we've fixed this issue in version 1.2.18. May i know what version of EasySocial you are using now? If you are already on this version or later version, then can you pass me your Joomla backend admin access and your ftp account so that I can take a look at your issue from your site?

Please advise.
