Hello,
I have two issues:
1. When I set the Privacy in a profile type to 'Only me' in Easysocial, other users are still able to view the profile of users within the profile with restricted access. For example, I have a profile type called 'DHH' where the Privacy on Profile is set to 'Only me'. However, when a user with a General profile logs in, they are able to view the profile with anyone within DHH profile type. See screenshot attached. How do I restrict users from viewing users in other profile types?

2. Under Users > profile type > (My profile type) -> Privacy -> ... Who can view only shows three options (Everyone, Registered Users, Only Me). How can I make this drop down to show all the Joomla ACL groups so I can restrict access to specific user groups instead of the only available three options?
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Do you mean when you trying to access one of the user profile page which under 'DHH' this profile type, then it showing this restricted access message right ? screenshot : http://take.ms/Z3bMC

If that is the case, it is the correct behavior and currently it only show this restricted access message and the user unable to view other info from this user profile.

2. Under Users > profile type > (My profile type) -> Privacy -> ... Who can view only shows three options (Everyone, Registered Users, Only Me). How can I make this drop down to show all the Joomla ACL groups so I can restrict access to specific user groups instead of the only available three options?

Unfortunately that is not possible to choose user group option from the privacy.

Actually when you setup each of the new profile type, you can able to set which user group you would like to set under this profile type, you can check my screenshot here : http://take.ms/4zacg

Mean when the new user register under e.g. DHH profile type, it will assign this user to these user group as what you set from this DHH profile type.

Hello, I reviewed your screenshot. What are the settings to show:

"Access to this profile has been restricted for privacy reasons"?

That's the setting that I want.

Hey there,

There is no specific setting. Do you mean that you want to change the sentence of it?

Actually, as long as the current logged in user cannot view the user profile page, this whole part of "Access to this profile has been restricted for privacy reasons" http://take.ms/Z3bMC will be shown.

Hey there,

Do you mean that you don't want users to view the user profile page?

If yes, you can select the options of 'Who can view my profile page' and you need to tick it so that this setting can apply on all users which is on this profile type. https://take.ms/2ng1p

Hello,
Because I am using it on a business website where the employee have a manager. How can I restrict user access to only the manager who is in a different user group and have a different profile type?

Example: Employee is in user group called EMPLOYEE and Manager is in a user group called MANAGER. I want the MANAGER to have access to EMPLOYEE profile page but I DON'T want the EMPLOYEE to have access to the MANAGER profile page.

Hey there,

Do you mean that only MANAGER can view EMPLOYEE profile page but nobody can view MANAGER profile page?

If yes, I would suggest you to select the 'Only Me' of 'Who can view my profile page' in MANAGER profile type and you need to tick it so that this setting can apply on all users which is on MANAGER profile type. https://take.ms/2ng1p

Example: If a manager has 5 employees.

Expected Result Should be: Manager can view Profiles for 5 employees.

Employees cannot view other employee profile and employees cannot view their manager profile. How do I achieve this result?
