As for the ACL based on a field value, can you elaborate more on it? Please advise.

Can you do a conditional dropdown e.g.. if my address was in REGION A, then select your Parish that is in this region.

As far as the ACL issue and module, an example would be for a module position: display module if PARISH field same as USER. This could be an EB blog written for users in PARISH A.

I can see a scenario where some articles / blogs etc may be relevant to your region, parish, age, sex or any filter that is found in your registration information.

With regards the encryption side, a password in backend that scrambles data selected such as name, address, email means that if the database got compromised in any way, the sensitive data is useless. This would give a lot more confidence to users in signing up to a site and giving such info.
