@Cristiano - The white labeled version might be around that much, yes. Though we have not finalised the price yet.
@Jannik, Mark H & Muhanad - Seeing the interest spike up in this, we will probably bump up the team working on the app. Let me also see if we can help out on the API end so that things can move faster.
On integrations with the other extensions - Yes that is definitely something on the cards, we're already thinking about how a generic app can be built that integrates with all these extensions, at the same time easy enough to configure and use for your end users. Any thoughts ?
Thanks everyone for the support and interest!
Hello Ashwin,
two points to discuss here,
1- i don't believe the app should be around 400$ specially not first versions. I do understand apps are costy to develop and you build it to work on IOS and Android and maybe windows phone but still your early versions will be very basic with only easysocial to support and won't be worth that price. add to that the cost of easysocial .. this will take it to 500$. i do understand the price is not finalized but don't make it pricey, you can do that when it's fully integrated with easyocial and other components.
2- my suggestion will be is moving along with the trends are guiding us to which is native apps... as you have mentioned, do bump your team and get ready to invest in mobile apps because in couple of years i believe, we will mostly use apps to communicate ( already in some countries, only apps are used). so the direction of techjoomla i believe should be focused on that area,
you have the chance to make techjoomla the first to provide top native apps for joomla extensions .. if you are capable and have the capital to invest money into workforce and technology, trust me you will find the return very rewarding.
but please if you are going to do so, make your extension as good as stackideas products. minimum bugs, great visuals and innovative. your previous extensions were not that stable (socialads) and lack the nice designs. go the extra mile and invest in designers and quality insurance.
Best of Luck and waiting for your blog post about the progress
