I purchased Shika (techjoomla) and Easysocial. I'd like to integrate to the point where easydiscuss is everywhere, so do I accomplish that by publishing the Easysocial module/menu in a top position on every link?

Basically when logged in when viewing articles, using another extension, I still want it to be like they're in easysocial and have the menu/notifications just not the content area. I see modules that look like it explains that is what they do, do you have documentation or tutorial to better explain if this is possible?

Also, can I extend easy social menu/toolbar and add more links to it myself, like my Shika component links or is that not possible?

Thanks.
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Actually it depend on your current template is it support multiple module display on same top position.

If can, I would like recommended to use `EasySocial Dropdown Menu` module so you can extend your dropdown menu from your Joomla menu. (You can refer on my attached screenshot below.)

And `EasySocial Toolbar` module which included user notification bar and it can display on all of your site page.

Hope this will help.

Unfortunately drop down isn't as good as toolbar, and toolbar can't be extended. All we wanted to do was keep toolbar but add a couple minor links to our integration with Shika which is an LMS.

Hey there,

If you still prefer the toolbar over the dropdown module, you can still utilize the toolbar module which is included Just publish the module on the pages that you want

I have, but I can't customize. I guess I need to override both the component and the module html in the template to get desired results?

I recall Jomsocial used to let you make a menu that gets added to it's toolbar, any features like that coming? It would be nice to add extra menu items for our purposes without overrides.

But it sounds like overrides are the only way to go?

Yes, you are right. You will need to perform template overriding for your toolbar module

Regarding the above, the similar feature that did that is the EasySocial DropDown menu module

Hope this help and have a nice day!
