Hi,

I've discussed this problem before, but Easysocial has become incredibly slow.
So slow that it's unbearable to use. Really, i'm not exaggerating.
All other page on the website are loading well, except Easysocial.
If the problem doesn't get fixed, i'll be looking to step over to Jomsocial.

I've contacted my host, they checked everything and for them there's no problem on the server side.

I provided the login details for you. You'll find Easysocial if you click on "Clubs".

Kind regards

Kjell Provost
I swapped hosts a few months ago and noticed a substantial speed difference with ES. The server/setup plays a huge role with the speed. What's your opinion of my profile speed? As I'm sure you know, EasySocial requires a lot of complex queries. JomSocial does as well and I cannot promise it will go any faster.

P.S. I am not a staff member of Stackideas, I'm a customer too.

Hello Kjell,

I just checked your site and the option "Process emails on page" is enabled and this could also cause the page to load very slow when there are emails being dispatched out.

Secondly, do you use the T3 Framework and JA T3 Framework plugin? When both these plugins are disabled, the page load reduced from 12s to 6s. That's almost double. Most of the times these frameworks could be compiling and caching LESS files and that would also slow things down as well.

By the way, what happened to the protostar template on the site? The best way to profile this is to use protostar with EasySocial and test the load times.

@Josh, your profilespeed is incredibly fast!!! Just flashing...

@Mark, thank you for checking. I've disabled the T3 plugings. There's a difference indeed.
I've noticed you've disabled the emaisl on page. It's all together a difference.

I don't know why the template is gone...
i'll install it again...

Thanx

Hello Kjell,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

The template is gone because T3 plugins is disabled and the template that you are using is depending on the T3 framework plugin. If you want to use the template again, you can enable the plugin back from your backend > extension manager > plugin but it resulted with lower speed page on your site. Hope these help

An observation of mine is that Easy Social seems to run slower on Firefox. I also seem to get a lot more javascript timeouts with Firefox. On Safari it runs great with no javascript timeouts at all. (I use OSX) I haven't really delved into optimizing yet as I'm still redeveloping the site but have noted that if I restart Firefox the issue subsides for a while.

I always use Firefox to develop on and have previously noted that Firefox is a memory consumer, it is not very good at releasing / destroying threads and so over time will simply become a resource hog to the point where it slows down. Not sure why this happens but for me it has been an issue for a fair while, it is also not an uncommon problem, I guess it could be related to Firebug or some other plugin. Someday I will get around to fixing it but for the moment I develop on Firefox and browse in Safari so not a real big issue.

If you use Firefox it might be worth checking your site on another browser.

When you say Javascript timeouts, I wonder if it's the same error exceptions that I'm receiving with JS that I reported a couple of days back.

I'm on Chrome, and intermittently, the site hangs for about 10 seconds while using a SEND command in JS on easysocial-1.3.27.static.min.js:149.

Can anyone else check their site that is going slow? (Wait for page to load after logged in, right click on page -> Inspect Element -> click on Console Tab and look for the following error:

Synchronous XMLHttpRequest on the main thread is deprecated because of its detrimental effects to the end user's experience. For more help, check http://xhr.spec.whatwg.org/.

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

I've tried to access your site but I'm hitting the htacess permission issue. Refer my screenshot here, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-05-11_1824.png

PS: I advise you to start a new thread regarding on your issue so it will be easier for us to follow up on your issue.
