EasySocial: Exceeded the number of groups that you are allowed to join

One user is getting the following message:

"Sorry, but you have exceeded the number of groups that you are allowed to join. Your current limit allows you to join 25 groups."

I've scanned the admin settings search box for anything that I can think of to locate this setting but to no avail.

Could you please let me know where that setting is located. Thanks.

Have you checked the ACL of the user's profile type(groups section, attached)?

I don't remember ever setting that but indeed that is the fix.
