Hey Stackidea!

First of all, congratulation for the release of the beta of ES 1.3, love it

Secondly, I have a quick question: is it possible to create ES Event within ES Groups? I cannot seem to find a way to create a event inside a group and I thought this was part of the ES Event features!

Maybe I'm just lost, just got back from vacation you see ;-)

Thanks again for your great work, incredibly looking forward more info about EBlog 5!!!

Hello Benoit,

I am very sorry but I believe the current system doesn't have this feature yet. You can refers to here for the features included in the EasySocial 1.3 and if you have exciting feature to request please do voice it out here: Voice . If you have anymore question, please don't hesitate to ask us.

Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Arrrf, so sad...

I was really hoping to see this feature included! It is quite simply a must have for any social website where groups are the center of the community. If you manage sport communities for example, users will want to create events for specifics groups of users (events for car lovers, events for mountain bikers, etc...). Additionally I want to use the group feature of ES as "local clubs" for the sport community. Users from Germany having their own Group/Club and therefor publishing in that group events that are "local" for users of that group.

Anyway, I'll add it to VOICE and hope to see this included in the near future. I'm deeply in need of that feature to publish my new project.

Thanks for the hard work guys!

Hey there,

Much appreciated, I know you guys are terribly busy with development, but if it is possible for you to integrate it without too much effort, that would be great.

Thanks again!

Hello Benoit,

It's a little tricky to get this integrated but once we get the foundation ready, everything else will fall in place easily

Hi Mark,

Are you guys planning to add Events for Group in v1.3.x or which version this feature is planned to be added?

Thanks,

Jackson

Hi LAC, as per 1.3 I believe it will not be integrated, but they do have an event system already, though not per group but public. You can add this on the voices as a request.

I've wondered about this too. Perhaps the ES 1.4 series could consider having it. +1 for group events.

Hey guys, please show your support to this feature request here : http://stackideas.com/voices/easysocial/item/432 (and so no other duplicate might get created ;-) )

Hopefully this would be added to 1.3.x as I really think it belong in the logical step of adding events to ES.

Please let us know when we could be able to see this feature added so we can plan the publishing of our projects adequately.

Thanks Mark again for being so good at listening to us.

I have not played with ES v1.3 beta yet but I wish Mark you guys added an ACL like what Profile can create Event entries. And for Group later, maybe an option that only Group Admins can create events.

Right now you can select the profile type of who can create events/groups. I admit that selecting the Joomla user group would probably be a little easier for precision (eliminating the need of creating another user type).

Hello Jackson,

Similar like groups, you can actually already configure which profile types are allowed to create events.
