Hi,

We’re working on a use-case and hoping we can get some expert advise here;)

We’re primarily using ES for group communication. However, there’s a requirement that each member of the group document their daily/weekly learning journal. This journal may contain articles, plain text, pictures, audio, video etc. The journal may be edited only by the user/ member or group admin. Also, it may only be viewed either by the user or the group admin. In summary, we want to create a journal for each member in the group and this journal can only be viewed/edited either by the member or the group admin.

Question: Would we use EasyBlog to create such learning journals/ entries? If yes, would EB then appear as an Application within ES groups? Will it handle the privacy requirement?

Quick check: Can there be multiple admins within each EasySocial group?

Appreciate any help and suggestions.

Thanks.
Hey Juz,

Yes, if you download the Group Blog App for EasySocial from http://stackideas.com/apps/item/2937-group-blog , this allows you to display a couple of things:

1. You can create a blog post directly from the story form (above the stream)
2. When a blog post is created, it will then list them on your stream
3. On the sidebar of your group page, there is a new app called "Blog" which lists down blog posts created from the group.

On a side note, when you compose with EasyBlog, you also get to choose the association of the blog post to a group if you are a group member. Take a look at my screen shot here, http://screencast.com/t/ThV4O6lfPn
