Hey,

sorry, but there is once again another problem. Posting a comment to a new stream post of a published blog article brings up another stream of the one who commented, that he had commented. :S

You can see it at my secured backup site. The first item in the stream is a blog article. If this stream item is commented, a new stream item is created with the information that the person wrote a comment. This can be commented as well. Very confusing!

How can I stop creating stream items for comments made?

Additionally if I have EasySocial comments on an EasyBlog article, the comments do not sync with the comments inside the stream. I need this urgent because else there are two different comment fields about the same topic.
Hello Sabih,

Sorry for the late reply. I've checked your site and found out this setting is set to Optimized: http://screencast.com/t/xtNqMShtU . I've changed it Static and the comment is working now. As for the answer link, I've removed it in this file: ../components/com_easyblog/themes/wireframe/comments/default.item.php. Hope this helps.

Hey Sabih,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. You can actually turn this settings off in Komento > Integrations > EasyBlog and ensure that the following options are disabled, http://screencast.com/t/xfw0L19a77fR

WHOA! I have never seen that before. I have Komento Pro but not even started it because I did not know about that sync thing.

But let me get this right please. I can sync comments from EasyBlog to comments inside the EasySocial stream with this? Does it mean when someone comments at EasySocial, the comment goes straight to the depending EasyBlog article? Does it work from EasyBlog article comment to EasySocial stream post as well?

I tried this and could get the comments from the stream to sync with the ones at EasyBlog but not the other way from EasyBlog to Stream post. Additionally the sync only works when I go to Komento -> Migrators -> Start migration. After the migration, the comments are synced. If I do not manually migrate, the comments do not sync.

I found that double post of comments was because it was at Easyblog -> settings -> integrations -> stream -> new comment.

Hello Sabih,,

I'm sorry but that sync option in Komento is only applicable for Komento. Meaning here if you integrate Easyblog to use Komento for the comment system, then you commented on the blog post (using Komento), the stream item will get posted saying that you have commented on that blog post. Here come the sync from Komento which if you comment on that particular stream item, it will sync with the comment you posted on the blog post.

If you want to sync Easyblog comment with the New Blog Post stream in Easysocial, you need to use Easyblog built-in comment. It will sync the comment: http://screencast.com/t/DeM0x82QPO

Hope this helps.

I think I understand it now. EasyBlog comments go to EasyBlog if made at EasySocial but not the other way around? Okay, would be okay at least. But I still got a little problem. If I use the EasyBlog built-in comments, there is no comment box at the EasyBlog article. Comments can be made from the stream to be seen below the Blog article, but below the blog article can not be made new comments. And there is an 'answer' link at the comments, that has no function. I am afraid I missed an option anywhere and did not find it.

Hey,

sorry for the late reply. You are right, the comment form is there, but I can not write any comments there. When I write something and push the comment button, I get redirected to the page where all blog posts are and the comment is not there. Additionally there is still the answer button below each comment though no way to answer. I would prefer not to have answer to comments but I do not find the way to switch this off.
