Hello friends,
Posting an inquiry over a newly discovered issue I have found with trying to link my website with Amazon S3.
As you may know Amazon S3 has a lot of properties and permissions you have to “allow” to be able to fully connect it with anything, which I have done. I have also chosen Amazon S3 as my desired path to save pictures, text, videos, etc to on my website itself. I have even specified the exact BUCKETS within S3 I want my websites media and info to be saved to- making sure both domains know exactly where to go and what to accept incoming. I click “save” on my website and on S3 and both save the settings successfully, I receive no error page like I have read some people in forums writing about having similar problems as me say they have, but rather it looks as though they are both completely synced up to one another and the link is successful. A few hours later however I decided to double check the success of the linking by posting a picture on my website, I go to see if it was automatically saved to my S3 bucket and nothing appears within the bucket. Despite receiving no error, despite being specific, despite seemingly linking both together—my multimedia and text is NOT being saved to my S3 bucket. Being that HostGator acts as a gateway ‘cron job’ to connect the two domains, that is where I suspect the problem may be. What do you think? Hope you can answer my inquiry as it’s been difficult for me to answer on my own. Thank you so much in advance!
I am attaching the login credentials to all websites and affiliates involved in the problem I am having in case you may need them to further investigate and arrive at a conclusion; my C-panel, S3, and Website.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I've checked in your cron command for your Easysocial, it seems like you configure wrongly for the command.

I already help you modified this to use :

// yourdomain is your current live site domain
/usr/bin/wget -O /dev/null "http://yourdomain.com/index.php?option=com_easysocial&cron=true"

It should work fine now, you can wait for a few hour then re-check again from your amazon S3 bucket storage folder.

Good day Arlex
That pleasant news to see that my request was met and resolved in less than two hours and maybe even on a weekend.
I check S3 and the information was successfully transferred.
I have not tried video on my website because I do not activate this function
but will test since it would give me more opportunity to share and attract users.
Thanks again and have a good week.
