Hello!

wondering why easysocial only has 6 months of life before i have to renew and why is it almost full price to renew? easyblog is 1 year and as of late we not seen much on the easysocial front, much more focus on easyblog... wondering whats going to happen with it all? i mean if i renew i almost have to pay full price, where as if i go else where, its usually half price to renew

focusing on 1 product... has been a let down for easysocial

(end rant)
Hi Jeff,

Thank you for your inquiry. Justin here, from Stack Ideas' marketing team. I'll assist you with your thread for today.

To be honest, that is a very good question. My predecessors have done a meeting with the team and have concluded that EasySocial is to have a 6 months' license cycle due to the fact that the system is very, very complex and to put it in a 12 months' cycle is a bit unjustified with the work that the developers have done.

As for the releases, we do release minor versions of of EasySocial, fixing bugs related to the current major version. We are releasing EasySocial 1.4 (which will have the video functionality); however, the development is a little bit slow due to the fact that we're pushing for EasyBlog 5. We are not focusing on one product and neglect the other, we just put extra hour on one product. For example, we use 5 hours on EasySocial and 7 hours on EasyBlog 5 (yes, we work more than 8 hours a day).

I hope this clears up the confusion that you might have. Do let me know if you have any other inquiries; you can reply to this thread or you can reach me via our CRM.
