The new installation of EasySocial 2.2.2 hangs when initialising the site files.
I'm on a dedicated server and had no problem upgrading to 2.2.1 yesterday (took less than a minute)
Chances are that you used a different user / ftp / ssh account to make changes on the file system in /components/com_easysocial/ which causes the server to update the ownership of the file. Hence, when the installer tries to copy the file over, it hits this error, http://take.ms/XgaJA

A quick work around that I have done on your site is to login to your webmin and renamed the folder, http://take.ms/QLlOu and proceed with the installation again. The installer is working fine now.

If you have made any changes / hacks, you would need to look into the folder /components/com_easysocial.backup/

Thanks Mark for the quick response.
Seems to be working fine now.

Will check on the backup files and see if there is was any changes in ownership which might have caused this .
