Error Message - Checking for updates - There was some errors connecting to our updates server. Software is up to date Installed version is outdated! Installed Version: 4.0.19 Latest Version: 4.0.19

Admin Panel does not fully install. I don't think that this is quite ready yet. I have had to revert the install to a previous back-up.
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Can I have the permission to help you update to 4.0.19?

Hello Arlex,

Thank you for the offer but I see from your forum that there are many others facing similar problems with updating. I will therefore wait until your release is more stable.

Please do let me know when this has been achieved.

Regards,

Mark

Hey Mark,

I believe the problem is mainly because your browser is caching on the old css and scripts. Most of the people that posted the same issue had it resolved simply by clearing their browsers cache

Hello Mark,

Thank you, I have cleared the cache and the install appears to have finished completely.

It is interesting that this is the first update from Stackideas that has required that I clear the cache before the installation completes. Why is this?

All the best,

Mark

You're welcome Mark.

Nope, the reason why this version update required to clear your browser cache is because we did standardized all the backend layout which modified the CSS stylesheet in this version, that is why need to clear the browser cache in order to load the new CSS stylesheet on the site.
