Two things regarding the EasyDiscuss toolbar.

One:
while "users" is disabled it is still showing on the front-end.
Is there something else that requires attention or needs to be disabled?

Two:
Can we either remove "forums" from the toolbar or have the name changed and the link re-directed to what the forums name has been changed to; "engage"?
Hey Ulysses,

Please find my response to your questions below:

One:
while "users" is disabled it is still showing on the front-end.
Is there something else that requires attention or needs to be disabled?

It is most likely because you have integrated this with EasySocial users listing. You may turn this off under Settings > Integrations > EasySocial as you can see here, http://take.ms/qZm2L

Two:
Can we either remove "forums" from the toolbar or have the name changed and the link re-directed to what the forums name has been changed to; "engage"?

You could actually rename the title from the language file. Just search for the text COM_EASYDISCUSS_TOOLBAR_FORUMS

Thanks, Mark,

The first one has been cleared.

As for the second, here is my situation.....

Forums have been renamed to "engage". But unfortunately, it still takes us to http://www.xxxxx.com/engage/forums.
Even if I change the linking name from forums to "engage", it would then take us to http://www.xxxxx.com/engage/engage; instead of http://www.xxxxx.com/engage.

This is because I named forums on the backend to engage.

I am hopeful and praying a little, that maybe there will be a change with the next update for people who wish to change the naming convention of "forums". In the meantime, since having the link point to engage/forums really isn't what I was hoping.... Is there a way to simply remove and/or change the link forwarding or did I miss something and we can make this happen?

Thanks a Million'

Hi Ulysses,

Perhaps you can try creating a menu item for the forums layout and use 'engage' as it's alias(http://take.ms/hsbt1).

Let us know if this works for you.

WoW, Raymond..... You Rock!

It seems as though you have it correct.
For some odd reason the menu item I used for "engage" was frontpage.
I assumed that was the default for "forums".

In case anyone is reading this, it is not "frontpage", but instead "forums layout" with no categories assigned.

The other way that I had it seemed to work up to a fault.
As even though it showed "engage" as the forums there were still links where it would route it to xxx.com/engage/forums.

Doing it your way, you can actually change the naming convention to anything.
Just have to remember to use the correct menu item.

Thanks so much!

You are most welcome Ulysses You are correct indeed and this is one of the major plus point for Joomla compared to other cms-es. Without any SEO / SEF extensions, you could just build great and beautiful URLs.

If you look at our site, all the url structures are built primarily using the menu architecture in Joomla. We have not installed any plugins or performed any hacks in Joomla to generate these urls.
