Hello all,

Here's a custom EasyDiscuss Template (based on, and assuming you're using the "simplistic default" theme) that Mark allowed me to share. It's almost completely based on the StackIdeas forum template.

Disclaimer: This is an as-is template! I'll try to help when I can for those that use it, but there's no warranty.

Sidenote: The CSS classes in the supplied tempate files are crazy/unique (IMHO) to avoid conflict with existing rules ... just a heads up! When it comes to testing/customizing CSS, FireBug for Firefox and Chrome's "Inspect Element" are your best friends!

The included zip folder has two parts, and is based on the assumption that EasySocial is integrated in EasyDiscuss. The "com_easydiscuss" folder and files are meant to be included in your template's "html" folder ... the "customEasyDiscussCSS" file's CSS rules are meant to be added to your existing template's custom/override CSS file.

A few things to note settings-wise in EasyDiscuss that I have disabled in my own install:

----------------------------------------------------

Prerequisites:
- Joomla template should be using Bootstrap & Font-Awesome
- EasySocial is integrated with EasyDiscuss

EasyDiscuss "Settings -> General" That Are DISABLED:
Workflow - Private Postings, Allow users to create new tags, Enable Print Button, Likes & Replies
Badges - All
Tags - All
Comments - all options are disabled
Location - Static Maps, Location tagging and replies
Voting - all options are disabled
Content Triggers - all options are disabled

EasyDiscuss "Settings -> Layout" That Are DISABLED:
General - Filters - Unresolved, Unanswered and resolved filters ... Display - Board Stats ... Editing - Post types
General - Toolbar - Headers, Toolbar

EasyDiscuss "Settings -> Social Integrations" That Are DISABLED:
All Social Integrations are disabled.

----------------------------------------------------

IF it works for you and IF you enjoy it, great! This custom template took me quite a while to create, so IF you want to donate a beer (I'm Canadian), let me know!
Hello Justin,

Great! Thanks for sharing, Justin!

Hello Stefan,

Based on the first post,
The included zip folder has two parts, and is based on the assumption that EasySocial is integrated in EasyDiscuss. The "com_easydiscuss" folder and files are meant to be included in your template's "html" folder ... the "customEasyDiscussCSS" file's CSS rules are meant to be added to your existing template's custom/override CSS file.

I believe you have to copy the 'easydiscuss' folder and put it in your JOOMLA/templates/yourTemplate/html/ and the CSS file, you might want to copy the content of the 'customEasyDiscussCSS' into your custom css file.
