Is there anyway to have a default image when re-posting to social platforms; such as Facebook.
Recently, someone posted something, but I just noticed there was no image.
the meta title and description were on point, though....

We do have sh404, if that information helps..
Although, I am still wrapping my head around that plugin.
You're most welcome Ulysses.

Not sure where the safe_image name came from, placeholder_facebook.png works fine as you can see in my attachment.

Hi Ulysses,

The post on FB is showing the placeholder image. If you want to change the placeholder image, you can template override it.

Sure, where abouts can I make this chang?
Also, is there no way to do it in sh404 or something similiar to make it easier and avoid messing with overrides?

Hey Ulysses,

I'm not sure if sh404 has a feature to change the default opengraph image tags, you have to consult them and find out.

As for overriding the image, you just need to create the following directory and place your desired image there. The image should at least have a dimension of 600 x 315.
JoomlaFolder/templates/your_current_template/html/com_easydiscuss/images/placeholder-facebook.png

Super @Raymond..

The directions worked; except instead of the file called "placeholder-facebook.png", it is called "safe_image.png".

In case anyone else asked;

JoomlaFolder/templates/your_current_template/html/com_easydiscuss/images/safe_image.png

Appreciate the help....

Wow, You are correct..
I guess when I saved out the image in Facebook it saved as the safe format for some reason.
I think I added them both, but it "seemed' as though it liked the safe naming convention.
However, testing it individually without speeding through and yes, I am soooooo wrong.
Sorry about that..

thanks for keeping me in check, @Raymond
