When he receives an email to approve a post he clicks the button on the email to approve it but then he is taken to the site where there is a popup modal box that wants confirmation for the approval.
The first issue is that he cannot see the yes or approve option on the bottom right (see screenshot).

By right if admin was click on 'approve' in the email, he will automatic approve the specific reply in the site. I believe there is quite a few reply in that same question that still in the pending moderation state, where he click the 'approve reply' on the other reply he will see the dialog popup as your screenshot above. http://take.ms/EzGl7

The second issue is that he doesn't want this second approval option.

And yes, once I click on the approve reply (that will shows the dialog popup) it did not shows the 'approve' button. Where this a bug in our end. For temporary fix for this, can you download the attached file and replace in the:
.../components/com_easydiscuss/themes/wireframe/post/dialogs/approve.post.php

You're suggested to backup the file that you want to replace beforehand for precaution
