I can no longer send messages via the mail icon in Easy Discuss.

We get this error: "There was an error when sending the message."

The site access information should be the same as the previous tickets.
Sorry, it is actually in EasySocial, not easydiscuss.

Hey there,

When I was trying to access your backend https://www.schooltechnologyleadership.com/administrator/index.php?ldpaas, it gave me the following error:

403 This request is blocked by Admin Tools. Please change this message in the component's options. If you are the administrator of this site and have blocked your own IP address on accident please visit https://www.schooltechnologyleadership.com/administrator/index.php?admintools_rescue=you@example.com where you@example.com is the email address of your (Super User) account. This URL will only send you an email if the IP address from which you are accessing it is being blocked by Admin Tools. If you are not blocked no email will be sent; you don't need an email with instructions to unblock your IP if your IP is not blocked.

Also, can you screenshot it on 'I can no longer send messages via the mail icon in EasySocial. We get this error: "There was an error when sending the message." ' so that I can have a better understanding of it?

I've disabled admin tools and uploaded a pic.

Feel free to send test messages to Margaret Moggia. That's a test account.

Hey there,

When I was trying to access your backend, it gave me the following error:

Warning
Username and password do not match or you do not have an account yet.

Also, when I was trying to access your FTP, it gave me the following error:

Command: PASS **********
Response: 530 Login authentication failed
Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server

Please try the username and password again. I reset it and tested it.

I'll need a few minutes to re-activate the FTP information.

Hey there,

I can access your backend already.

The reason that this happens is because you had disabled 'Allow Messaging Non Friends' which is at Backend > EasySocial > Settings > General > Conversations.

I had helped you to enable it and it should be working fine now.

Can you have a try and see how it goes?

For your information, I am still getting the same error when I was trying to access your FTP. I suspect the password that you gave for FTP access is incorrect.

Hi Irwin. Yes, this fixed it. I would suggest perhaps changing that default language from an error message to something more like "messages only available to friends" or even disabling (not showing) the email icon at all if that is configured that way. Just a suggestion. Love the product! It keeps getting better and better! Really looking forward to the payment module too!
