Easydiscuss error after upgrading to 4.1

After upgrading to EasyDiscuss 4.1, discussion no longer work properly
Messages can be seen on the the homepage but when you click on them, the page loads but presents a message that the discussion couldn't be found.
I have checked your site and it looks like you have a conflicting setup. If you want to use simple urls in EasyDiscuss, your "help" menu item needs to be on the forums layout or the index layout. If you have it set to the categories, it wouldn't work because EasyDiscuss would think you are trying to access a category instead of a post.

I have the same issue, but I do not understand this answer. What I need to do to fix it.
