I install ED and migrated my Kunena categories over and I thought I had all permissions set properly but I must have missed something because when I visit the front-end I don't see any categories at all and to make matters worse I get an error when I log in.

Hey Michael,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is actually a public day off for us here. You actually need to set the permissions (acl) for the category.

For instance, edit the "Main" category, and click on the "Permissions" tab. In the "Who can view discussions from this category", you need to add the respective user groups here, otherwise the system thinks that the user cannot view this particular category.

As for the error of "You are not authorized to view", this is because there seems to be some redirection going on when http://www.michaelscookbook.com/community/member/profile/profile is being accessed. Did you setup any redirection here?

I thought that I had set up the permissions. When I went into the permission tab of the category I adjusted the groups as I wanted and saved them. As for the redirect I have to look into that.

I went over everything again and cannot for the life of me find any where that I might have set up a redirect. As for the categories. All permissions are set up properly as far as I can tell. I have to be missing something, but what that is, is anyone's guess. i completely disabled Kunena to make sure that it wasn't causing the issue.
I am so frustrated with all the issues I have right now that I am about to delete my entire site and start over. This is something that I do no take lightly.

Hey Mike,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is actually a public day off for us here. Okay, it seems like there is an issue with the way your menus are created. Your "Community" menu seems to be linking to the "Account" layout and there is no menu that links to the dashboard layout. I have changed the "Community" menu to link to the dashboard layout and it should work fine now.
