I have installed and enabled the "EasyDiscuss - Categories" module and experimented with settings. I want the module to look exactly same as when I click on the 'Categories' icon (above the posts), but it looks nothing like it. How can I get it to look the same?

It seems to have completely different styling. (The styling should in fact be inherited from the template, but even if it looks same as EasyDiscuss style, that would help.)

thanks,
Geoff
It would be extremely useful to be able to have the block elements of the EasyDiscuss component created as modules (same styling and layouts) so it would all integrate. e.g. the Categories List, the 'Search / Ask a Question' block, so there is a consistency throughout.

Currently, it is taking many hours to set up the EasyDiscuss to look professional.

Thanks,
Geoff

Hello Geoff,

The purpose of Easydicuss module is to have a simple layout in a small space. It is used to display any information in a simple and compact structure. That's why you can see all the modules look like a small version of the actual view. If we put the whole component (exactly the same) in the module, it will defeat the main purpose of having a module.

Thanks for replying, Nick. Agreed, the module is only a portion of the component. The Category tree would be helpful if it matched the Category tree in the component. It would fit nicely into a module.

The modules should be styled to match the main component, or at least take on the styling of the template. Do you agree?

The Categories module appears to have bugs. -- It is indenting categories that are top level categories. I will attach a screen shot where you can compare the Category list in the component with the one in the module....

thanks,
Geoff

You can find the setting from your backend > easydiscuss > settings > layout > categories and set from there

HI,

Yeah, its been enabled, infact subcategories are shown but not in a tree, but you cant distinguish if they are subcategories, all categories are shown horizonatally order wise.

Hello Prashant,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply.

It seems like the provided credentials does not permit us to view the easydiscuss components. Refer my screenshot here, http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-04-09_1925.png

Hello Prashant,

I am sorry for the confusion in my previous reply.

It seems like you are using Flatt themes for your easydiscuss. Currently Flatt themes does not display subcategory in the tree listing as it does from other themes. Perhaps you can try to change to other themes if you want to display the category in tree listing. I am sorry for the inconvenience caused.

By the way the provided access still does not permit us to navigate through the easydiscuss internal settings. It would be easier if you assign the provided user to "super user" user group so it will be easier for us to debug
