I have heard that EasyDiscuss has Gravatar Support. But does it randomly generate unique gravatars for users like stackoverflow?
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/405717/how-to-generate-the-random-default-gravatars-like-on-stack-overflow

Or displays that G logo for all without Gravatars.
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Thanks for interested our Easydiscuss product

If the user do not have any Gravatar avatar upload yet, it will display G logo for their avatar photo in Easydiscuss, you can refer on my attached screenshot below.

Randomly generated identicon support based on hash would have been great, like they implement in stackoverflow and wordpress.org. Unique avatars for those who dont have gravatar accounts.

Yeah exactly, People are lazy to create gravatar accounts.. as they have to create a wordpress.com account and add email ids and verify them and add image and all. This way every user is ensured an unique identicon avatar by default and without wasting hosting space.

I think you are using wrong gravatar getavatar url.
The correct one is http://www.gravatar.com/avatar/ and not http://www.gravatar.com/avatar.php?gravatar_id=

and &d=identicon

No I have a friend who does. He looked up for me. The one who recommended me EasyDiscuss
I am currently running Kunena.
The two key features I was looking for is Gravatar support and Tapatalk support.

Then probably your friend is running on an older version or running off a warez version. Good luck to him

Not nulled. If yes I would have figured it out myself. Latest version 4.0.6
Why are you talking about different things rather than support? We designers communicate with each other before deciding on premium extensions. Instead I started a thread to know and meanwhile I read a lot about implementing gravatar and asked if I could see the components integration part. All I got was one integrate.php

Anyways I havent even test it. Did my suggestions get it done?

To be honest, I am not too sure where are you heading with this. It is within our support policy that we do not provide support to users without a valid subscription and I am not too sure if you are reporting a bug or are you trying to request for a feature.

As of now:

1. EasyDiscuss doesn't support the features that you are requesting for. If this feature is requested by our customers, we'll definitely look into this If your friend has an active subscription, please do get him to request this in our feature requests area.

2. There are no issues that I am aware of with Gravatar. If it has a bug, please get your "friend" to report this issue on our forums

ok will ask him.
Its just that about extensions there is no trials to test before deciding to buy. And I intended it as a pre sale question. Peace. I think I will stick to Kunena. And if you support only subscribers, why an open forum? Pre-sale questions could be done with contact page?
