Our search engine at DrCarney.com returns all 404 errors for results that are EasyBlog posts.

I have tried to clear the index and reindex. That did not help. I tried using the two different settings for Routing Behavior for SEO in the hopes that I could clear my search index then reset the routing behavior and then reindex.

I used Default and I used Use Specificc Menu id with a Menu ID of 317.

I believe I want to use Default. I think the 317 was a setting from our EasyBlog version 3.

Is there some new plugin that I might be missing to make sure that Smart Search works with EasyBlog 5?
Hey Sean,

Can you give this a try again? I have applied some fixes for you on the site.

Certainly. Here is a way you can see this. Go to the page at http://www.drcarney.com/blog

Enter the word "Beans" into the search field (without the quotes)

Any of the results that are EasyBlog results will give a 404 ERROR.

For example. One of the titles is "Can Low-Carb Diets Impair Brain Function?"

The url is http://www.drcarney.com/blog/entry/can-low-carb-diets-impair-brain-function

But, it is being converted to http://www.drcarney.com/blog/entry/can-low-carb-diets-impair-brain-function&highlight=WyJiZWFucyJd

This page gives a 404 Error.

Thanks!

Hey Sean,

The ftp access is not working for me. Can you please advise? The problem seems to be related to the way Joomla is appending the &highlight=xxx in the URL. As soon as this is removed from the URL, it works.

That is exactly what I am seeing as well. Any idea why Joomla would start adding all that to the strings after upgrading to EasyBlog5?

I will open a new ticket to give you the corrected FTP instructions.

OK. I set up the site access for this site at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site

I am afraid I gave you the FTP access instructions for my other site that uses EasyBlog before. The access I just put in for my Site Access now is for this site with this problem.

Those urls did not change but they no longer give 404 errors so I thank you for fixing this. It is good to go now.

Hey Sean,

Yes, the url is supposed to be this way because the highlighter plugin will actually highlight contents on the page.
